tender age of 20 days. It has been eight years now since his passing. My youngest child is
now 7. Recently, we found out that I am to be giving birth once again! :) Yes,,,I am very

Comments: I have a 5 month old son who almost died without any explanation. He was
hospitalized for 5 days and had alot of tests but no answer. I was interested in seeing if
there was a connection with SIDS. I understand SIDS is used when the baby dies but I think
we may have interupted is process. My son was sleeping on his stomach, he was 3 months
old, he also had a full diaper when I found him. I have no answers as to why he was so
sick. I am Thankful to have my son but I am living in fear that one night it may happen
again. It is hard to deal with. I can't seem to focus my thoughts straight and have been
very depressed since this happened. I would gladly hand over my sons medical records for
you to look at and research. This is a wonderful way for people to become better educated
about SIDS. I tell everyone now to lay their baby on its back. I would like to educate

Comments: I lost my son Andrew to sids on October 9,1992 he was 6 1/2 months old.
He was born on April 1st,1992. I went to pick him up at the babysitter and he was sleeping
on his stomach, which I never put him in that position. I really feel for all the families
out there who have lost babies due to sids. There is nothing more painful than losing a

pain has lessened some, but I think about it every day, much of the day. I have had two
friends who have recently had babies, and frankly I hate them for it because how dare they

Comments: It has been one month today that my little Alex (3/4/98 -7/19/98) passed
away. Nothing I say or do can relieve me from the emptiness and pain that come with every
passing thought of him. I have found this site to be of comfort and filled with great
information. My biggest concern/regret is that no one tells you anything about SIDS and
possible prevention, including your Pediatrician until it happens to you or someone you
know. My prayers are with all parents who have lost a child. With the loss of a child, you
lose a part of yourself that will never return. Remember that your family still needs you.
You must find a way to get thru it. In memory of Alexander Christian Taylor, an Angel in

Comments: Our son, Keenan William Olliges, died of SIDS on Sept 10th, 1997. He was
3 months old on that day. His brother, Cameron is doing great. Keenan's 1 year anniversary
is coming up next month and my husband and I are not quite sure what to expect. People
tell us that we will heal in time, but it seems like we have more bad days than than good.
We miss him terribly. It is just not fair! Our hearts go out to everyone who has lost

year old and SIDS has always been in the back of my mind. But after he hit 1 year of age I
forgot about it. I work in a resort and about a month ago a 16 month old child died of
SIDS while staying there. I then realized that it can happen after a child has reached 1

only six months old. I cannot tell you the amount of grief that this has brought upon my
family. Although he was only here for a short time, he was a bright spot in the lives of
everyone he met. I will never quite understand why God chose to take such a beautiful

Comments: My 13 mt old son, David, died of SIDS 6 1/2 yrs ago. At first I didn't
know how I could go but I have two older children that needed me so I had to be strong. I
was so angry at God that for a long time I turned my back on Him, but His love brought me
back. Not a day goes by that I don't miss David but I know someday I'll be with him in
Heaven. Every year on January 31, which is the day David died, I take my other children
and go downtown and do something fun and family orientated. That way, instead of mourning
his death, we celebrate his life. |

Comments: My nephew died of SIDS 9 years ago, and the pain in my heart is still
there. He was 2 months old, and my daughter was 3 months old at the time. I now have a new
baby, a son, who is 2 months old and I am a nervous wreck. This site is both helpful and
also painful. My heart goes out to all parents of SIDS babies. |
