Comments: On January 25, 1999 we lost our 5 week old son and last Tues, Sept 19, 2000 I gave birth to a precious little girl. She is a beautiful baby with a full head of blonde hair. We feel so lucky to have her and pray to God to keep her safe and healthy. She really is my "healing baby"! Although she looks alot like her brother that passed away I know that she was given to me as a gift and I should treasure every moment. She smiles alot in her sleep and I believe that every time she smiles she is being kissed by an angel, Tommy. We miss Tommy with all our being but know that in his 5 short weeks on life he taught alot of people alot of things. We love you and miss you!!!! We spent five wonderful months together, and then one day he was gone. Today, I still have trouble believing he's really gone. He was born December 30,1999 and died June 3,2000. Comments: I lost my only son "Dakot Edwin Moore-5 months and 14 days young" to SIDS last November and it seems like only yesturday that he grew his little wings and flew into the lap of Jesus. I only wish that he could of stayed a little longer so I could of seen him grow up. I often hear his little voice in my home and it brakes my heart even worse cuz I know he is not there for me to pick up and hold. There isn't a day that I don't think of my angel. I can't seem to let go. and i have a 2 and a half year old and am scared something might happen to him. i want another child someday but am scared that he/she will die from sids to. i heard that if one of your children dies from sids that the next is at higher risk. is this true? if so i can't stand the loss for another child of mine. |

My husband and I have had 5 miscarriages in the last 2.5 years and every time it feels like I'm dying all over again. I'm finally at a point where I think I will be numb forever. I just wanted to tell you that I'm reading your stories on losing your actual children and, I can't IMAGINE carrying to full term, holding my tiny gift and losing him or her. I commend all of you for your strength. Unless you've been through the loss, you can't begin to imagine. My mother couldn't understand my thoughts and one day I found this poem in a book, it helped me to explain it to her. "How very softly you tiptoed into my world, almost silently. Comments: Ater having 3 miscarriages or rather 'missed abortion' as it was termed, I then went on to have a healthy baby girl 3 years ago, albeit a traumatic pregnancy and birth. I had Placenta Praevia grade 4,plus a very rough Caesarian delivery. I am now 7 weeks pregnant and am worried that this may just be the same as the other 3 on account of the Sonographer expression during an internal scan, he said I must go back in 7 days but I fell sure it is to confirm his suspicions that it has died. Any advice? |
