Twice The Painby Stephanie Wagner Date: Mon, 29 May 2000 After my first miscarriage in Feb. at 10 weeks I went in search for others that had felt my pain. I have read almost all of the stories on this page and now I think that it is time for me to tell mine. In Dec of 99 I had went to visit my grandmother and a cousin. My cousin had just had a baby and asked me when I was planning on having another one ( I have a 6 yr. old boy). And I was like "no time soon", but I knew deep down I was pregnant. On Dec. 28th I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive almost right away. I was so excited. I made the mistake of telling almost everyone I saw. Then on Feb 7th I started having a brown discharge and I went to the doctor immediately. The doctor did an ultrasound and he asked me if I was sure about my LMP and I was like yes why. He showed me the screen and said that at 10 weeks the gestational sac was only at 4 weeks. I had lost the baby. I had decided to try and pass the baby on my own but on Feb 10th I started to hemorrhage. The bleeding had stopped and I went to the doctor the next day. An emergency D&C was done and my dead baby was taking from me. No reasons why it happened or anything. Now I am 9 weeks pregnant and it is happening again. I had an ultrasound done at five weeks and everything was okay but may 26th I was exactly 9 weeks along and had another u/s and it was only showing 7 weeks along. This time I will opt for the D&C immediately and hope and pray that the next time I get PG this nightmare won't happen again. Stephanie |
