Baby wake up...wake up baby!

I had my second baby girl on Sept. 4...She passed away on Dec. 4. The M.E. has concluded SIDS took her from me. My two year old was shaking the baby's leg, whimpering "baby wake up...wake up baby!" My 2 yr. old sat still on the couch in horror as I gave her baby sister CPR. When the ambulance finally showed up, (I had to run out twice to have them realize to come to my house and not the neighbors) I was completely investigated on the spot. My husband came home and called a friend to get our two year old out of the house because she was running around the paramedics in circles and no one would stop her, or let me stop her. They had to ask me questions that had nothing pertaining to getting my daughter breathing again. When they took my baby to the hospital a paramedic told her father "She's not going to make it."

We were not allowed to go with her to the hospital...we had to answer questions! But we were not allowed inside our home either we had to stand outside while they took bottles, sheets and everything else they could think of. They took pictures of the food in my refrigerator, and even looked at expiration dates. When we needed to sign papers for her to be life flighted we were allowed to leave. My daughter was then brain dead and on a respirator. We had agreed to turn it off because of the horrible damage her body had went through. (She did not have a heart beat for over 3 hours) When we spoke to the doctor about this he also let us know that a caseworker was coming to speak to us to see if they felt we should have our 2 year old. Even though it has been proven we have done nothing wrong, we have a caseworker coming out to our house once a week for our other daughter. I have also heard a lot of very insensitive things such as " At least she was little you didn't really get to know her." or ' Aren't you glad you didn't get your tubes tide" and these are all things I heard at my daughters wake. All I know is that my little angel really is an angel now. She's in heaven with her grandmother still looking down on us and knowing we still love her.
