The Chosen OneIn Loving Memory of Trenton Kyle Smith April 1,2001-May 18,2001 As we are coming upon a year since the loss of "our little angel" I wanted to share this poem my daughter, Jennette Smith, wrote the day after his death. Trenton was my grandson. The infant son of my son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Angela Smith, and brother of Taylor Smith, who is now five years old. I also have a daughter Becky Smith, Trenton's death happened on the morning of her graduation night. Jennette has two daughters, Bryce 7 years old and Kenli will be 2 years old next week. We thank God for this amazing baby boy even though it was only a short time spent with us on this earth, his memory will live on forever. Thank you, Shirlene Smith Date: Tue, 14 May 2002
One night an angel came down The angel said, "God is this the one?" God said, "Yes, this is the one." The angel lifted the sleeping babe from the bed and carried him to God's knee. "Thank you," God said to the angel, "for bringing him to me." He is the one I have chosen I needed him, he has never been hurtful, never been needy or greedy. I needed someone to help heal the broken hearted, the weak at their knees. Someone full of innocence. So, you weeping earthlings cry no more for this child is doing more than you could ever hope for. by Aunt Nette |
