We do not need a special day...A Poem For Alauna Gay and Alexis Gross Date: Tue, 23 Feb 1999 I wanted to share a poem written by a friend who I met after losing Alauna to SIDS. She lost her daughter Alexis to SIDS about 2 1/2 months before Alauna. She was a great support to me and we ended up getting pregnant very close together with our "subsequent" children. It is and was so nice to have support from someone who knows what I was and am going through and who I could share my thoughts and fears with about our "subsequent" babies. I love you Carmelle and thank you for being there for me. Following is a poem she wrote for our darling little baby girls. "We do not need a special day..." We do not need a special day Each morning when we awake, Our heart aches with sadness Our thoughts are always with you, There will always be a heartache, If tears could make a staircase, We hold you close to our hearts, Our family chain is broken now, Anyone wishing to email to talk or share stories can email me at |
