Be Not Afraid...
by Patrick Garrison
Good day!
One of my co-workers lost her son to SIDS yesterday. He was three months old.
Whilst we are all recovering from the shock of it, I'll pass on your site as a
resource. Call it 'channeling' or inspiration, or whatever you like, but I was
moved to write the following yesterday, 25 October 1999. Permission is granted
for reprint or posting in the hope that it will bring some comfort to others.
God Bless.

"Hi, Mom, Dad & my two big sisters...
Sorry I had to leave so quickly. It was a surprise to me, as well.
I want to thank you most of all for the Love you gave me, Dad - who's love for
Mom got me started in this little life, Mom, in whom I took form and felt Love
always and all ways, And from my two sisters - the Wonder of my birth and the
Wonderful innocent love of Children.
Be not afraid for me, or of the future, Love is the biggest gift.
In sadness at my departure let it grow.
This alone will give meaning to my short time here.
You will feel sadness, that I had to leave so quickly.
But I was here, and for a Reason.
Comfort yourselves in this - there is a Bigger Purpose to all things.
And in this short time, when my Love in return would at best Bring a smile to
your faces,
This is not ended nor forgotten.
I love you all for that which was, for the possibilities of all the "might
have beens." But most of all I love you all for being, and for giving me
life, And a place to express love and share it.
That is what matters most,
The good that we do, and the love that we share.
Not goodbye - only until later on.
I'll see all of you again soon.
Take good care 'til then.
Love always...."
