As I Try To Say Good Bye

It will soon be a year. My mind is no clearer and my heart no lighter. People say I will soon forget I will never forget a part of me.

I took you for granted not knowing you would so soon be taken away.
Even though you stayed for only a short time I never knew sadness till you went away.
You entered my life so quietly and left it in just the same way.
Your memory has made a lasting impression upon my heart that will stay with me for the rest of my days. Your loving presence and your gentle face.
No one will ever take your place
