Thank You Chrislyn!
by Brandi Clark
This past Mother's Day was my second one without Chrislyn....but it
is the first one that I received a gift "from her."
My husband and I went to the cemetery the Monday after Mother's Day to
say good-bye to Chrislyn again since we were moving out of state that
day. When we got there a balloon was tied to her grave...it said
"I Love You Mom." I think it was the mother of the little girl
(Lisbeth) next to Chrislyn put it there. Even though I know Chrislyn
didn't *really* give it to me, it was such a special gift.
A nice coincidence that day was that my oldest daughter Briclyn
brought an "I Love You" balloon to "send up" to Chrislyn. She let
it go right in front of Chrislyn's grave and watched the balloon go
up higher and higher until it disappeared. When it disappeared
Briclyn was so excited, she said, "I saw Chrislyn's hand reach out
and get the balloon!"
Chrislyn made my Mother's Day even better....as did Lisbeth's mom.
Many thanks to both of them for thinking of me that day.
For Chrislyn....while the pain has eased a lot these past 17 months,
it doesn't mean we think of you any less or love you any less. We
think of you every day, and love you more every day. One day I will
hold you in Heaven, and NEVER let you go. We love you and miss you.
