AngelI needed to pass on this poem that was given to me after the death of my son. I carried him for 28 weeks when he died in my womb of a cord accident. Since we had not expected to need a name so soon, we had not decided on one. When we saw our son, the first name that came to both my husband and me was Angel. He will live in our hearts forever. Angel Khorsandi was born October 7, 1994 weighing in at 1 lb. 11 oz and 13 inches long. I know there is nothing in the world that can ease the pain of losing a child but this poem did touch my heart. We read it at Angel's funeral. When God calls little children to dwell with Him above, For no heartache compares with the death of one small child Perhaps God tires always calling the aged to his fold, God knows how much we need them and so He takes but a few, Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try, And so when little ones depart, we who are left behind, |
