"What little angels do for fun"

when the work day is through
what do little angels do
much like you and i
they go to a playground....only in the sky
imagine if you can
rainbow slides
and moonbeam glides
swinging from a star
seeing everything ..near and far
playing a game of hide and seek
in a place where no one peeks
and when it rains we know what they do
they go bowling like me and you
what in the winter you ask
well then they have a magnificent task
they make snow flakes and sprinkle them down
for you and i to see all around town
but there's something else they do
they make cloud sculptures for you
the lamb the bear
the starship takes much care
the next time you are out
please don't pout
look up look careful
you just might see
the angels playing like you like me
sliding gliding
swinging playing
or perhaps bowling
oh the fun they have
oh the smiles they bring
as the watch the children on the hill
lying ever so still
watching to see
the flower the bee
in the shapes of the clouds
yelling out ever so loud there i see one
can you see?
a giant ice cream cone
made of clouds just for me
and then when they need to rest
out of the cloud the make a nest
and lay down and sleep
until the next day doth peep
